Performance of an U-Shaped Oscillating Water Column Wave Energy Converter Device under Oblique Incident Waves

چکیده

The present study deals with the performance of an U-shaped oscillating water column device under action oblique incident waves. To solve associated boundary value problem, dual element method (DBEM) is used. Various physical parameters OWC device, such as radiation susceptance and conductance coefficients, hydrodynamic efficiency, are analyzed for a wide range wave structural parameters. reveals that resonance in efficiency curve occurs smaller values wavenumber increase chamber length, submergence depth front wall opening duct, width duct. It observed appropriate combinations angle incidence wavenumber, more than 90% can be achieved.
